Notes'Il centonovelle' is recorded as completed on 13 May 1483 in the Ripoli Diario. Neil Harris in Rhodes(Festschrift) p.324 gives the format as folio, not quarto, and the number of leaves as 302, not 308, as found in the catalogues.
The edition was commissioned by Giovanni di Nato on behalf of Piero Pacini da Pescia.
An earlier note recorded the beginning of the operation on 20 April 1482: "Ricordo che a di 20 daprile 1482 si comincio il cento novelle a stampare" (p. 228, Conway)
